WHAT IS FLAVOR OF LOVE 3?

They say that the third time is the charm and Flavor Flav is going to find out if it’s true on VH1’s hit dating show. WHO IS FLAVOR FLAV? Um, he is only the greatest hype man in music history! Part of hip-hop's greatest group ever, Public Enemy, Flav has been entertaining us for years – YEEEAAAHHHH BOOOYYYY!!! He also has been on some pretty cool TV shows – Surreal Life, Strange Love, and Flavor of Love. He is an all around great, talented guy who is just looking for love – with America’s help.

WHAT’S MY MOTIVATION TO SIGN UP FOR THIS SITE?

Are you crazy? This is the greatest web site ever (according to us). First off, it is the ultimate Flavor Flav community. Create your own profile, post videos and photos, blog with Flav’s biggest fans, chat with casting producers traveling around the country, get insider information regarding the show, and earn a chance to become an actual cast member on the television show Flavor of Love 3. What’s your motivation for NOT signing up?

HOW DOES THE COMPETITION WORK?

-Sign up and create your contestant profile.

-Submit your own video and photo.

-Convince people to vote for you.

The competition lasts about 6 weeks and in the end 5 winners will be awarded a spot as cast members competing for Flavor Flav's love in Flavor of Love 3 and exposure on national television. Want to know more? Check out the ‘About’ page.

WHY IS THERE ONLY ONE ROUND?

We have 1 round in the competition to give as many contestants the most amount of time to create their profiles and get votes. The contest will last about 6 weeks. The competition will be tough throughout, but everyone with love for Flav will have the opportunity to get in the game.

WHAT DO I DO TO ENTER THE COMPETITON?

Create a profile – it’s easy! You will need to sign-up online, fill out a bio, and upload a photo and a confessional video – its fun, easy, and we’ll walk you through how to do it all. The video requirement is to create a confessional-style video (you talking directly to the camera) introducing yourself and why you would be perfect for Flavor Flav. Having trouble what to say? Here are some example questions you may want to answer… Who are you & where are you from? Describe yourself/personality (party animal, sweet, smart, sincere, crazy, etc…) What do you do for a living, hobbies, life ambitions, etc…? Tell us about a crazy date or romantic moment? Additional Requirements:

A couple weeks into the competition the producers will contact the top vote getters to date. At that point, the top vote getters must complete the additional requirements. These requirements include signing a contract and consenting to the following testing – background, psychological, and medical. The producers will give you all the details you need to complete it and a deadline in which it must be done. You must pass all the required testing to be eligible to win. You’re a charming, funny, sexy, sassy and sweet hottie – so tell us that! You must post at least one video. You want to make sure your video shines, so read the rules. But overall, show us who you are, what you’re all about, why you’re so extraordinary, and why you deserve our vote.

HOW LONG CAN MY VIDEOS SUBMISSIONS BE?

As short as you want, but they should not be longer than 2 minutes. Come on, put some real imagination in to it. This isn’t just any guy you’re competing for, it’s Flavor Flav!

CAN I UPLOAD MORE THAN ONE VIDEO?

Yes! You can upload up to a total of 5 videos (subject to change in producer's discretion).

HOW MANY PHOTOS OF MY GORGEOUS FACE DO I NEED TO POST?

You must post at least 1 photo of yourself to be in the competition.

CAN I POST ADDITIONAL PHOTOS?

Absolutely, post away. But keep in mind, you should only post the best of the best and we only want to see you, not you and your 13 friends. Remember, you’re trying to WIN votes.

WHAT IF I DON’T FOLLOW THE CONTEST RULES?

That’s crazy talk, you know what happens. Unfortunately, if you don’t follow the competition guidelines your profile will magically be disqualified and possibly removed. So be sure to READ the contest rules! 

HOW LONG DO I HAVE TO POST THE REQUIRED SUBMISSION CONTENT?

You have from August 1, 2007 until September 4, 2007, to get your profile up and make sure it meets all the contest rules. But Voting closes on September 4, 2007, so get your profile up as soon as possible! The sooner you get it up, the more votes you will get.

MY VIDEO’S UP, BUT I DON’T LIKE IT. CAN I TAKE IT DOWN?

Yes, you can add, delete, or update your profile videos if you are signed in to your account. 

COULD MY VIDEO EVER END UP ON TELEVISION?

YES - We’re so glad you asked. If we find your video submission to be utterly intriguing and completely fascinating, we just may select it to be part of a special casting show on VH1. If you want your video to be considered by the show producers you must send the original videotape to the address below.

We cannot consider memory sticks or emailed video files. Videos that do not follow the video submission guidelines will not be eligible. Please label your tape or DVD with your name, profile name, email address, phone number (including area code) and video title. Submitted materials will not be returned.

CAN I EDIT MY PROFILE?

Once you’ve logged in to your account, just click on ‘edit profile’ to be able to change personal account information (address, phone, tags, password). But remember, you can’t change your username. So choose wisely and spell correctly!

I UPLOADED MY VIDEO, BUT IT’S NOT ON MY PROFILE.

It can take up to 24 hrs. for your video to be encoded before it can be posted to your account. The site administrator may also first review and approve selected videos. So follow the rules, it only makes the process easier!

HOW MUCH DOES VIDEO QUALITY MATTER?

Again, you’re trying to win votes. So it matters! Take the time to make your video look as good and professional as possible. Pay attention to the simple stuff - make sure you can be seen and heard clearly. Do not have music or the tv on in the background – we want to hear you.

WHEN DO I FIND OUT IF I’M A WINNER?

Casting directors will contact finalists directly and you will be told what you need to do to continue in the contest. They will be using the information given in your sign up page, so please make sure your contact info is complete and correct. At the end of the competition, the final winners may be revealed during a special VH1 television show.

From the homepage, just click on the heart shaped icon below a profile image. If you’re visiting a particular profile, look for the ‘vote for me’ tab on the right-hand side of the page. Vote away!

HOW OFTEN CAN I VOTE?

One vote for each profile per day. So if you like someone, come back and vote for her each day!
