‘Sup Flavites? As I’m sure everyone knows, the Flavor of Love casting site is now closed to voting!.  Soon the final vote counts will be tallied and the lineup for Flavor of Love Season 3 will be finalized (thanks to your devoted voting!).

Many of you are probably sad to see the competition go, and sad to lose the thriving online community that’s sprung up around Flav and his Ladies, and before that New York and her men. Well, you don’t have to give up the taste of online Flavor just yet. There’s plenty for you to do right around the corner at the website of one of your other favorite shows, the show that turned the flaws of mothers around the world into nationwide entertainment. That’s right. We’re talkin’ ’bout Yo Momma and YoMomma.tv

If you’re not already familiar with it, lets you upload a profile just like Flavor of Love Casting, but instead of voting with it, you do something way more fun - you trade snaps, disses, cuts and brutal Yo Momma jokes with other users on the site in raging head-to-head Yo Momma battles. Mothers everywhere cringe at the barbs being flung around YoMomma.tv. And as it turns out, our man Flavor Flav isn’t immune from the Yo Momma treatment. A lot of the disses on the site seem to revolve around insulting someone’s momma through insulting Flav himself, who is of course innocent. Check it out:

Are you people, who spent weeks voting to make sure Flav finally finds the right woman and true love, going to let a bunch of little punks on YoMomma.tv lay such persistent hate on the dude? That cannot stand. Flavor Flav’s honor must be upheld, and the only people who can do it are his devoted fans.

So get on over to YoMomma.tv, and upload your best Momma jokes, and challenge these Flav-hatin’ suckers to a battle. You will prevail. The power of Flav is on your side.

Why can't I see the vote tally?  Am I going blind?!?  

No, you aren't going blind. But the vote tallies are!

We wouldn't leave you in the dark about the blind vote counts...

To help build suspense and keep the drama coming we are hiding the vote tallies from view.  From now on you won't know how many votes separate each lady from her competition.   The profiles will be randomized and out of ranking order.  Don't let the blind vote tallies fool you into thinking your miss is in the safe zone or too far behind to win.

Some of these ladies have really been putting it all on the line asking for your votes. Don’t forget there are several pages of misses deserving a chance at love. Just because they aren’t on the front page right this minute, doesn’t mean your votes can’t put them in the top spots.  The competition is tight and each vote counts. Remember it's one vote per person per computer per day. Check out their videos, hit them up with a comment and vote for the woman who will make Flav happy around the clock.  In these last few days anything can and will happen! 

Heads up: Voting will close at 6PM (PST) on Tuesday, September 4th.  Only the Top 5 qualified ladies with the most votes will move into Flav's mansion. 

Fans aren't the only ones scouting the profiles and looking out for contenders. There are a grip of gals trying to make their way to the top, but it seems like they might need some coaching on how to get ahead so late in the game. Here's how to bring it to Flavor Flav: 

SOME LAST MINUTE PROFILE ADVICE 

*Give the fans something to vote for. Write a little something on your blog so they know who you are and why you want to be with Flav. 

*Don't post pictures of you with other people! Flav is looking for a single woman who will be dedicated to him. 

*Unless you only look good in the dark, let's see that face. Don't get it twisted, Flav loves the hot bodies, but he's gotta see who he's kissing. 

*Get your video up ASAP. You MUST have a video to be qualified no matter how many votes you have. Show off that personality and let everyone know you're for real. 

*Remember the peeps who put you on top. Visit the profiles of your fans and give them some love. Let them know you need their votes.  The more fans you have voting for you the better your chances of making it to the top.

Our Brand New "Promotion" Widget Revealed!

Hey Everyone!

We just added a new "promote" widget to each of the contestant's profiles which will post a mini-version of your profile just about anywhere you want!

This new function appears on every hopeful's page and will be very helpful in getting the word out for your favorite contestant

Just go to a contestant's profile, click on the big pink "Promote" box and select "copy me".  From there you can select the option to copy onto your myspace or facebook account, post to sites like pageflake, netblogs, igoogle, or just e-mail it to a friend!  

This new function is helpful whether you want to get the word out about yourself or just give your favorite contestants a boost.

There's only a few days left so make them count!  Use the "Promote" widget to spread the word!

Responding to your feedback!

Hey y'all! 

First off we'd like to thank all of you for your participation in the site...it's been a huge success and getting bigger every day.  We can't wait to see the 5 ladies you choose for the Flav House!
 

Now that the site has been up for a few weeks we've started to receive a lot of e-mail feedback and wanted to take a few minutes to address some of the questions.   
 

Many of you have written with concerns about alleged cheaters, fake profiles, etc.  We have a full team of moderators working 24/7 to ensure that the site is functioning properly and everyone is abiding by the rules and regulations.  Users exhibiting improper conduct will first be warned and, if the negative behavior continues, they will be banned from the site.  
 

Foul language and profanity on the site has also been an increasing concern of ours.  Anyone found using foul language will be issued a warning and, if the behavior doesn't stop, will be banned regardless of site ranking.  Let's all of us play nice and keep the casting process clean!
 

Lastly, we are pleased to announce that the winners of the ilovenewyork2.com casting website will be announced on the season premiere of I Love New York airing in the coming weeks.  We'll be sure to update you on the premiere date and time, so keep your eyes on this site for more info.  In the meantime, continue to enjoy flavoflovecasting.com, and keep voting!

Are you serious?

You know you need at least one audition video posted to your profile to meet the casting requirement.  And plenty of profiles are missing this ultra important ingredient.  You can't win if we can't see you in action.  Remember, your video doesn't have to win an Oscar - it just has to show the fans you're a real woman with a little bit of love for Flav.

The best videos to be featured on the homepage!

If you want to set yourself apart from the crowd, submit a video answering the following question:

"What do you think will be the most difficult part of living in the house with 20 other girls?"

Reply to this question with a video response and we'll post the best on the homepage.  This is a great way to get more attention and get your profile out there for everyone to see....which means more votes!

The competition is already shaping up to be a knock-down-drag-out fight to the finish and it’s only been a week!!!! 

We know some of you have your favorites and you wouldn’t even think of looking at another girl for Flav.  But one of the greatest things about Flav is that he loves variety.  Sometimes it’s easy to go with who you know, but maybe there are some newcomers who might be a good match too.  We’re not telling you who to vote for, we’re just saying give the new girls on the block a chance to get in the game.  If they deserve your vote, make it happen and help them out with a testimonial or comment. 

Remember there is only one round so even if you think your spot in the top is safe today you need to get that video up to meet the requirement and keep in touch with your fans.  If you feel like dropping out because you feel too far behind, don’t give up yet.  This could be your chance at true love.  Make a kickass video.  Give it up in the “about me” section.  Write a blog and let us know what’s on your mind.  How can the fans make the right choice for Flav if they just see a few pretty pictures? 

Flav is counting on all of us to make the third time a charm.

SHOW YOUR STYLE – What diva interviews with the press looking like she just cleaned the house? The cameras will be rolling, so look your finest for Flav and the producers. 

BE OVER 21 – You must be over 21 to audition. Sorry, no ID, no club entry, no audition.

Welcome to Flavor of Love season 3 Casting Website! Do you know what time it is? It’s time for Flavor Flav to find a love that will last.

He is coming back for a third season and he wants his fans to select five women via a web vote. This means that anyone can enter (see how here) and anyone can vote (see how here).

Why are we so excited about this new website? Because we love cruising for great videos and hot chicks at work. But seriously, we are excited because the fans of the series and of Flavor Flav have been incredible and have built such an impressive community. We know you will not let him down (at least you better not, or he’ll never give us our own clock!) Honestly, we hope this will be a fun site for you to not only compete and vote for the 5 spots in the new season, but also a place for you to stay up to date on everything Flavor Flav!

The competition only will have one round, so we can really get to know the competitors. So how do you move onto the next round? There is no “next round”, just right into the mansion with Flav so don’t save your best for last. You’ve got to bring it in the beginning and don’t stop until you win.

So then how do you win? Easy, the contestants with the most votes make it onto the show - so we suggest you join the website early and vote often! Click here for how the competition works.

This blog is the spot where we (the casting producers) will get to be in direct contact with you and for you to be in direct contact with us! We will be able to give you important info about the contest and keep you up to date with open call events.

During the next month, while we are casting online, we will also be traveling across the country doing in-person open calls (We will be in New York, Houston, Chicago, Atlanta, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Sacramento, and Washington D.C.) We will post all of the information you need for those events right here. In case you were wondering “Yes, you can do both!” Even if you are in the online casting competition, come on out to an open casting call – you never know what insanity will be happening!
